Yup, happened to me last Thursday (New Years Eve) and almost took me away from here! Seriously!

My neighbor across the alley from my window where I'm always on the PC is always revving up his motorcycle. I've never really gave it much though except for it being so loud and annoying and him pointing the back end at my window. I have been getting a little sick here and there but didn't put the two together. Until last Thursday when he revved to for about 15-20 minutes and literally almost killed me!

I think God put his hand on my, once again, and gave me the strength to open windows and turn on exhaust fans to help clear it out. I saw very lucky I wasn't asleep at the time or I prolly would not have woken up! Even while it was happening to me I just wanted to sit the and try to catch my breath or take a nap. But I guess God had other plans. O0

I'm just glad it didn't affect my family as they were in different parts of the house.

When I finally talked to my neighbor about it he was very apologetic and promised to never do it again. He's young and prolly didn't realize what he was doing. Had to stop him cause he was doing it again when I finally caught up with him.

I went out to the store yesterday with Lealer and got 2 carbon monoxide detectors...that took a lot out of me and I needed a shopping cart to help keep me upright. lol I didn't try them out until today and they are still saying there's some left in the house. So, in the dead of winter I'll be opening the windows and doors off and until it's all gone. Glad I got them cause I was starting to wonder why I wasn't getting much better.

Whoa.. glad to hear you figured out the problem and are ok now.
You are lucky that your neighbor is respectable enough to listen to your plea.
My house is also in need of CO2 detectors. I was thinking of forking out the cash to buy the newer 10 year ones.
They all expire but some models last longer so pay attention to the instructions that came with them.

I also have a neighbor that revs his motorcycle very loudly for about 10 minutes like that every evening at about 10:30pm - 11:00pm.
He is not respectable at all though because why would he even do that when he knows the other neighbors and I have kids that are in bed.
His front lawn connects to mine but his side looks like the moon with weeds.

He sits on his porch drinking booze, smoking weed & lets his dog crap all over my green side of the lawn and refuses to pick it up.
When I asked him nicely to start picking up the dog crap he used a rude tone to tell me he'll do it every 3 or 4 days but he doesn't do it.
After that unbelievable conversation I refuse to acknowledge his presence and every 2 days or so I use a small shovel to flick the crap back on his lawn.
Shortly after doing that a few times this guy put up stakes & caution tape to partition our lawns (he must have stepped in the crap... lol).
This alcoholic drug addict idiot is a nuisance to the community, a thorn in my side and very lucky I am a sane person.

Thanks! :)

Yeah, I got 2 of the ones that the batteries last 10 years. Been talking about getting some for years but never saw it as a priority, I guess...until too late.  :groan:

He would have no choice but to listen. There's hundreds just here alone in my family. ;) We run the local high school security. Steve Little, the boxing champ...the security you've seen around him was my family. Half of the family are security guards, prison guards, and bouncers and certified to carry. ;)

The other half of the family are thugs and drug dealers. We don't bother anyone and certainly don't like it when people bothers us. The guy meant no harm so we we accepted his apology and moved on...unless it continues...

Glad you are OK Steve, wouldn't be the same world without you..I'd go out a cut some wires, and toss them, maybe a ice pick through a tire.

Chen, I had a neighbour who actually move because her next door neighbour had two large dogs that crapped daily in the side and back yard, and he never picked any up, it stunk to high heaven. She use to stand at the open window a F that dog crap.

I'd just get a shovel scoop it up toss it back on his porch. I drive into the driveway late at night an accidently run over his fence. I'd call the RCMP they'll take care of drug dealers.

Neighbours are suppose to be friendly with each other.. I have lived in the same place going on over 35 years now, and still don't know the neighbours. I had problems being friends with neighbours before and vowed never again..

Thanks a lot, Ron. :) It really did do me in good! For the first week all I did was lay around and do nothing. I didn't even want anything to eat and lost quite a bit of weight. Now I have to keep forcing myself to eat and gain my strength and weight back.

I went back to work for the first time last night. I just took my time and everyone was watching me like a hawk to make sure I was ok. LOL

Carbon Monoxide is bad, Steve you are one lucky guy to still be with us..I hope you told the guy exactly what happen to you. That also can cause some brain damage. I guess you'll be OK in a week or two, just get a lot of fresh air.
I know it can kill you, I had an uncle do this to end his life, car in the garage.

Thanks, Ron. I just have to eat more, keep getting fresh air and remember to slow down. I'm used to running around a lot, working hard...gotta pace myself until I get stronger and gain my weight back. :)

Hey Steve, it is so good that you are feeling better after such a scary event! The outcome could have been so much worse, to the point of heartbreaking in the worse case.
Thankfully you are strong enough that with the help of God you were able to rescue yourself from the danger.  :cool2:
