Yeah, the db tables may be similar but probably have some different tables and fields. Earcade tables may not have been updated as it should have been.

If you still get that issue try changing the cookie settings for SMF. For instance, it may be cookie666. Change the numbers to something else, clear the smf cache and your browser's cache and see if that helps too.
